Know your nutrients
Kale is a known detoxifier and is full of cancer fighting benefits. Kale has more protein than beef and more calcium than milk per calorie. It's also rich in omega 3 making it highly anti-inflammatory, aiding your immune and respiratory system. It also helps your enrich your blood with oxygen. Ever notice how a kale leaf looks like lungs? Funny that.
Square One Sesame Kale Chips
- 1 x Large Bunch of Kale (washed and dried thoroughly)
- 2 TBSP melted coconut oil
- 1 TSP Pink Himalayan Rock Salt
- 2 TBSP Sesame Seeds (optional)
Turn the oven on fan bake at 180 degrees. Remove the stalks from your Kale and chop roughly. Add to a bowl with salt, oil and sesame seeds. Softly massage the oil into the kale with your hands. Spread the Kale onto a large flat baking tray so that the chips are evenly spread. Bake for 10 minutes until slightly brown around edges but with some green. Don't burn them! Remove from oven and rest for 5 minutes. Then enjoy!
Great on their own, or scattered over salad or sweet potato mash! You can also experiment by adding other great spices and herbs of our choice.
